LaLiga, Sceenic launch ‘Watch Together’ pilot

LaLiga and Sceenic have launched a ‘Watch Together’ pilot that allows groups of fans to stream matches together in real time.
The solution will be integrated into LaLiga’s OTT platform then made available for LaLiga Sports TV users after the pilot period.
LaLiga director of innovation and global development Minerva Santana said the league needs to be able to anticipate “new models of fan engagement and forms of audio-visual content consumption that are supported by technologies such as Sceenic’s Watch Together”.
Sceenic COO Jonathan Williams added: “Working with LaLiga is taking Sceenic to a whole new level, as the potential reaches a global scale, we are talking about billions of potential users for our technology.”
